Build a clearer WhatsApp enquiry workflow
Choose useful contact prompts, set expectations, and distinguish a button click from a genuine business enquiry.
Give the button a specific purpose
A button labelled Ask about a website tells visitors what conversation they are starting. Place it after the information needed to make that decision. Avoid making WhatsApp the only way to contact you; some visitors will prefer email or a form.
Start with a short message
A prefilled message can name the service being discussed without guessing the visitor's requirements. Let the visitor edit it. Do not put private customer information into the link. Check the destination number and test the link on both a phone and a desktop.
Plan who responds
Decide who owns incoming conversations and what information they need before preparing a quotation. State a response expectation your team can consistently meet. A concise reply acknowledging the request and explaining the next step helps the conversation move forward.
Measure the right outcome
A WhatsApp button click shows that someone opened a contact route. It does not prove a message was sent or a sale was made. Keep click counts separate from qualified enquiries and completed projects. Review the actual questions visitors ask and use them to improve your service pages.
